Tour Down Under – Norwood on Tour Street Party
One of Adelaide’s favourite street party’s, Norwood on Tour is back during the Tour Down Under, part of the UCI World Tour in January 2020!
The well-loved street party descends on The Parade with a variety of gourmet food and wine stalls on offer for the Tour Down Under. This free, family-friendly event will feature fun-filled children’s entertainment, as well as live music on the main stage. Expect local acoustic music, DJs, bands, cyclists for the tour and more.
Additionally, the 2020 Norwood on Tour Street Party will be held on the eve of the Santos Tour Down Under Stage 4 start. Norwood parade will play host to the commencement of stage 4 on Friday January 24th from 11am. The Colonist will be open for coffee, brekky cocktails, freshly squeezed juices and more as you wait for stage 4 to start.
During the street party, keep your eye out for staff from the Colonist handing out vouchers that offer 20% off your total bill – perfect for dinner or drinks that night!
Lastly, if you’re looking for a drink or bite to eat before Norwood on Tour, head on down to The Colonist and treat yourself to a cold beverage or tasty meal. Or if you’re wanting to continue on the celebrations post street party, the Col is the place to be!

History of The Santos Tour Down Under
The Santos Tour Down Under is Australia’s greatest cycling race, with a rich history as the highest-regarded and most popular bike race in the southern hemisphere.
In 2018, the event boasted an action-packed nine days of world-class cycling with gala dinners and street parties. As well as an amazing atmosphere for riders and spectators, visitors, and locals alike.
The event was first staged in 1999 with local rider Stuart O’Grady taking the win. Since then, numerous internationally renowned cyclists have joined the Honour Roll. The event has grown year-on-year to become the biggest cycling race in the southern hemisphere. – read more on the Tour Down Under.
