The Colonist will be serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks throughout each day of the Easter long weekend, including Good Friday. Plus, there will also be breakfast and brunch available on Easter Monday.

In addition, make the most of our great happy hour specials including $11 G&T’s on Good Friday and Easter Monday from 4pm – 6pm. Plus, enjoy $10 Cocktails from 3pm – 6pm on Saturday and Easter Sunday.

Easter and Good Friday in Australia

Easter and Good Friday are two important dates in the Christian calendar. These days are celebrated to remember the day of resurrection of Jesus Christ after crucifixion. According to the New Testament, Lord Jesus rose from death after crucifixion on the third day after the burial. The occasion marks the belief that Jesus is the ultimate. It marks the pinnacle of “Passion of Christ”. The occasion is preceded by Lent, which is a forty-day fast, prayer and penance. As crucifixion and resurrection are the cardinal event in Christian beliefs, the follower of Christianity observe these days with complete dedication.
