Looking for what’s open on Good Friday? Look no further than The Colonist!

Join us at this classic Adelaide Pub over the Easter long weekend and indulge with friends, family and loved ones. Enjoy food specials, happy hours and entertainment throughout the weekend.

The Colonist will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout each day of the Easter long weekend, including Good Friday. Indulge in a gourmet Adelaide breakfast from 9am-2:30pm, lunch from 12pm or dinner from 5:30pm. Also, on Good Friday happy hour will be available from 5-6pm, as well as $10 G&Ts from 6-7pm. Or if you’re feeling hungry we have $10 foraging plates available from 4-6pm. There will also be a Moon Dog beer launch on Friday, so purchase any Moon Dog beer from 2pm and go in the draw to win a basket of beers!

Again, on Saturday you can enjoy sipping on $10 G&Ts during happy hour from 4-6pm. Then on Sunday kick back and relax whilst listening to live acoustic music in the afternoon accompanied by our $10 selected cocktails from 3-5pm.

Furthermore, celebrate Good Friday and the Easter Long weekend indulging and drinking with friends and family at The Colonist.

History of Good Friday

To commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his demise at Calvary, Good Friday is celebrated as a Christian religious holiday. The holiday happens during Holy Week and is considered as a part of Paschal Triduum on the Friday that comes before Easter Sunday. Good Friday is also known as Black Friday, Great Friday, or Holy Friday. Good Friday is a national holiday in many countries around the world, especially in the Anglican and Catholic nations.
