Celebrate Tour Down Under at the Norwood on Tour Street Party!
Join us in celebrating the 2018 Santos Tour Down Under on the The Parade, Norwood. Bring your friends and family and be a part of the electrifying atmosphere the Parade has to offer. Enjoy delicious food, wine, music and children’s entertainment on the night before watching your cycling heroes race it out on the streets of Norwood. The Norwood on Tour Street Party will feature live performances, face painting, circus shows and more!
The Colonist will be participating with a stall near the main stage.
Tour down under menu includes:
- Stone & Wood Pacific Ale on tap
- Adelaide Hills Apple Cider on tap
- Longview wines
- Soft drink and water
- Pulled Lamb Bun – fresh scotch bap, wild rocket, spiced peperonata, provolone cheese
- Pumpkin & Haloumi Salad – grilled SA haloumi, roasted pumpkin pieces, mixed salad leaves, quinoa, heirloom cherry tomatoes, red onion jam, toasted pine nuts and a lemon tahini dressing
- Hot Chips
The Tour Down Under is celebrating 20 years!
Since 1999, The Santos Tour Down Under has grown year on year to become the biggest cycling race in the southern hemisphere. This nine-day event brings top UCI WorldTour professional cycling teams to race on the streets of Adelaide and regional South Australia each January. Up for grabs are important UCI points and the Santos Ochre Leader’s Jersey. The Santos Tour Down Under invites the whole state to the party by taking the race through South Australian regions. The race starts and concludes with exciting Adelaide city street circuits, with stages 1-5 being held in regional South Australia. The Santos Tour Down Under provides a significant contribution to the state’s tourism industry and showcases the attractions of South Australia to the world through global television coverage.
